What do you do with all those fruits and vegetables you just got?
Well, you might want to use them for your smoothies!
It’s an easy recipe for a fruit smoothie, as it’s all about combining the juice from your favourite fruit, like strawberries, bananas, melons and peaches, with some water and the addition of coconut milk.
In this case, I used cranberries for the smoothie and lime juice to give it a fresh flavour.
You could also use a combination of sweet potatoes, apples and berries if you prefer.
1.5 cups strawberries, quartered 2 medium lemons, quartred 2 cups frozen blueberries 1 large banana, peeled and cubed 2 tablespoons coconut milk 1 cup lime juice 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar 1 teaspoon apple cider extract 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons water If you’re using berries for the fruit, peel them before they’re ready, as they will spoil and not be edible in the final product.
You can also try using frozen cherries or raspberries, as those are also good choices.
3.2 cups frozen cranberries 1/4 cup frozen mangoes, pitted 1/3 cup frozen pineapple, pitted 2 large bananas, peeled 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon apple vinegar 1 tablespoon apple cider Extract 2 tablespoons maple syrup 2 teaspoons sea salt 1 teaspoon ground black pepper If you are using frozen berries, you can save the juice and pulp for later, but I prefer to make the fruit first, so I didn’t bother.
For this smoothie recipe, I put the fruit juice and fruit pulp in a blender with 1 cup of water and 1 teaspoon of coconut vinegar.
Blend until smooth.
2.3 cups of water 1 teaspoon coconut milk 2 teaspoons pineapple juice 1 cup frozen bananas 1/8 teaspoon vanilla Extract 3 tablespoons coconut sugar 2 tablespoons honey 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1/5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon sea salt 4 tablespoons water For the fruit smoothies, combine all ingredients except for the coconut sugar and honey in a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
Remove from heat and let cool completely before using.
