The parents of a Dublin mother and son have shared their best Christmas gift for a baby boy.
They named their son Jack and told his mother they were giving him a chocolate cupcake.
It is the first time the family have shared a Christmas present together.
Ahead of the big day, the couple said they have had a hard time finding their children to take part in the big holiday.
The couple said the baby was the happiest child they had ever seen.
It was the first Christmas they had had together since the birth of Jack.
“Jack has really grown up.
He is a big boy and we have been so lucky to get him.
He’s really good at everything he does,” the couple, who have been married for 13 years, told RTE’s Morning Ireland programme.
The parents have also had their own Christmas surprise.
They said they had bought a bottle of champagne for Jack to celebrate his birth.
“It’s been really good to share our Christmas with him,” the mother said.
“We’ve bought him some nice gifts.
He has made us smile.
We just wish he would do something for us in return.”
